Our
Ethos
What we are, what we are not, and how we think about this work.
What we are
Conflict Watch is an invite‑only intelligence service for senior executives and board members whose organisations carry real exposure to the world's active conflict zones, political transitions, and supply‑chain chokepoints.
We are not a news wire. We do not race to be first. We are not a think tank with a policy agenda. We are not a research firm offering commissioned reports. We are a small, editorially independent team that reads everything so you do not have to, filters for what actually matters to business operations, and delivers a clear, direct assessment of what is happening and why it is relevant to your sector.
The product is a tight, regular intelligence brief — plus a live situation monitor for developments that cannot wait for the next issue.
Editorial independence
Conflict Watch accepts no advertising, sponsored content, or placement fees. We carry no government, NGO, or industry association funding. No source pays to be included or excluded from our analysis.
We do not take positions on whether conflicts should exist or how they should be resolved. Our role is to give you an accurate picture of what is happening and a clear read on the operational implications — not to advocate for outcomes.
Non-partisan
We do not have a political home. We do not assess situations through an ideological lens. Governments of every political stripe make decisions that create risk for business operations, and we report on those decisions without favouring any side.
Where expert opinion divides on the trajectory of a situation, we present the range of credible assessments rather than arbitrarily selecting one.
Language and tone
We write in plain, direct language. We do not use military or combat metaphors as rhetorical flourish. The situations we cover involve real loss of life and genuine human cost — treating that material as colourful copy for executive entertainment is something we refuse to do.
We avoid the vocabulary of punditry: no spin language, no false certainty, no predictions dressed up as analysis. When we do not know something, we say so.
What we owe our members
Accuracy. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. We do not quietly edit past issues without acknowledgement.
Relevance. We do not pad the brief. If a situation has not materially developed, we say so rather than manufacturing analysis to fill space.
Discretion. Membership is invite‑only. We do not publish the names or affiliations of our members, and we do not share member data with third parties.
